By Claude Monet - It Is Actually Also Called - The Artist's Garden in Argenteuil
The artwork is also known by the alternate title "A Corner of the Garden with Dahlias."
It was painted in 1873.
Currently housed in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., this piece captures the vibrant, light-dappled, and lush scenery of his rented suburban home in Argenteuil.
The painting shows a colorful, lush, and enclosed corner of a garden.
While often described as featuring dahlias, the scene is a dense bank of, possibly, roses or other flowers in hues of scarlet red, pale yellow, rust orange, and shell pink.
In the background, a white three-story house with aquamarine-blue shutters is visible, along with a couple walking near a fence.
This piece is part of Monet’s many studies of his own gardens, capturing the essence of a tranquil yet vibrant, cultivated space in Argenteuil.
Poster measures 11" x 17".
